Tabby started her career in marine insurance in 1988 as an intern with marine intermediary, International Special Risks and returned in 1989 to build a yacht & commercial recreational marine book. Tabby grew the book to run her own office and quickly became Managing Partner. Tabby rebranded the business to Lucantha Marine Insurance in 2013. In 2014, she decided to sell to AssuredPartners in order to create more opportunities to scale the business, increase organic growth, and expand the distribution network. As the President of Lucantha Marine Insurance, she has led the company to build the book to over $40M GWP.

While running the operation, Tabby has won numerous honors and awards at AP for new business production. She has continuously landed in the top ten for all producers at AssuredPartners, while repeatedly qualifying for the highest achievement, Chairman’s Club (top 1% of all AP producers). In 2021, Lucantha achieved over 22% core revenue growth, 37% EBITDA growth and 39% sales velocity. Tabby wrote $1M in new business revenue in 2021. She is also known for hiring great underwriting talent and coaching the team to reach their greatest potential. She has mentored employees while participating in the AssuredPartners’ Intern and Emerging Producer programs.

Tabby’s diligent and thorough marine underwriting knowledge, vast industry experience and outstanding reputation has brought Lucantha to the forefront of the luxury yacht, charter and recreational marine insurance market. She is well known for creating specialty programs and obtaining underwriting/issuance authority with numerous well-respected carriers throughout the years to provide the highest level of service in the industry, writing business worldwide.

Tabby has been an active participant in the billfish tournament circuit as an angler and sponsor of the tournaments. She has participated in sportfish tournaments in the Florida Keys, throughout the Bahamas, USVI, BVI and Costa Rica. Examples of the tournaments sponsored were the Bahama Billfish Championship series, Custom Shootout and the Los Suenos Signature Series. She has sponsored the Mariner’s Club Marine Seminar throughout her career and attends boat shows throughout the country. Through Lucantha, she supports AIMU (American Institute of Marine Underwriters), especially by empowering her team to participate in the training courses.
